How to add Token URL users?

Token URL is one of the Off-Campus access methods that Sage Journals offers. This is also known as Username & Password access method.

How to add Token URL users?

For this method, Sage will provide the librarian with a link (Token URL) which will need to be distributed among patrons or other affiliated users. 

To set up this access method, the following steps should then be completed by the user:

  1. They must register with a valid e-mail address on our Sage Journals registration page.
  2. They must go to their e-mail and click the verification link sent to them by Sage Journals

This is a one-time activation process per person, and going forward they will just use their e-mail address and password to log on. Please note that you as an administrator will not have any visibility of their personal details. In addition, your journal subscriptions or other details will not be visible to individual users once logged in.

Can we view and delete our Token URL users from our Sage Journals Admin profile?

Unfortunately, as an administrator, you cannot see or delete Token URL user details. Please contact our Online Technical Support team at to make any changes to Token URL users.
