Does Sage Open have a word count limit?

Modified on Wed, 17 Jul at 5:30 PM

Sage Open has a 10,000 word limit. The word limit includes the main body of the article, tables, and appendices; it does not include the abstract, references, or supplementary files. The word count is in place because manuscripts over that length can be taxing on our guest editors and reviewers. The costs associated with copyediting and publishing the additional pages (even in an online format) are also a contributing factor.

Some of Sage’s other journals allow longer submissions. To view the list of Sage journals, please browse our Sage Journals platform.
